NYC & COMPANY NAMES JEFF MINSKY SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, DIGITAL INNOVATIONS & INTEGRATED MEDIA

New York City (October 27, 2015) — NYC & Company, New York City’s official destination marketing organization, today announced the appointment of Jeff Minsky as senior vice president, Digital Innovation & Integrated Media. In his new position, Minsky will oversee NYC & Company’s digital strategy and implementation, all current and future digital products and digital commerce models, integrated media and digital analytics. Minsky will report to Abby Spatz, chief marketing officer, NYC & Company.

“Jeff’s extensive expertise in innovation, specifically with regard to mobile and data, will elevate NYC & Company’s digital platforms and enhance travel experiences to New York City,” said Spatz. “As a media veteran, we are certain he will be an incredible addition to the company and will play a huge role in attracting more visitors to the five boroughs.”

Minsky, a 27-year ad agency veteran joins NYC & Company from Omnicom Media Group where he led the Emerging Media Investment practice. At Omnicom, Minsky worked at the crossroads of technology and consumer media consumption developing education programs, process, best practices and benchmarks across numerous platforms and initiatives involving mobile, addressable TV, connected TV, virtual reality and video gaming.

Minsky is an Internet advertising veteran having spearheaded search marketing. He received Mediaweek’s 1996 “Best Use of New Media” for his work on search advertising on behalf of IBM. He also led the team awarded “Best Use of New Media” by the Association of National Advertisers in 1997 for marketing efforts related to the Deep Blue vs. Kasparov online chess tournament. Recently, Minsky co-authored a paper for the 4A’s, a national trade association representing the advertising agency business in the United States, on “Data Driven Video.” Minsky holds a BA in Economics and an AA in Hebrew Literature from Yeshiva University, as well as a certificate in Mixology from Columbia University. Minsky is a native of Dallas, Texas, and resides in Livingston, New Jersey.
