“We are pleased to welcome back the National Retail Federation’s Annual Convention to New York City for the 102nd time,” said George Fertitta, CEO of NYC & Company. “The show generates a meaningful boost to the City’s economy during a typically softer travel period for the City.”

Recognized as “Retail’s BIG Show,” the industry’s most comprehensive educational forum is an annual event for retailers and visitors from more than 85 countries.

“Next” is the theme this year’s BIG Show, which will feature nearly 100 educational breakout sessions with topics ranging from what’s next in digital and mobile retailing to economic trends in 2013. Retail’s BIG Show will also unveil the next big step in NRF’s Retail Means Jobs campaign through marketing collateral and educational content.

“We are extremely excited that this year’s annual convention in New York City sets yet another high bar for continued success, with more exhibitors and attendees than ever before,” said NRF President and CEO Matthew Shay. “With thousands of retailers representing millions of jobs from cities large and small, we will use this opportunity to highlight the value of retail innovation, job creation and the role our industry plays in the global marketplace. We can’t think of a better place than New York City for us to tell that story.”
