NYC & COMPANY ANNOUNCES NYC RESTAURANT WEEK® SUMMER 2010 DATES VIA TWITTER

—Two-Week Dining Program Schedule Revealed First to @nycgo Followers—

New York City (June 3, 2010) -NYC & Company, New York City’s marketing, tourism and partnership organization, today announced the dates for NYC Restaurant Week Summer 2010 via its Twitter account, @nycgo. The semiannual event will run from July 12-25, 2010, returning with the same three-course prix-fixe lunch and prix-fixe dinner prices charged since 2006: $24.07 and $35 (excluding beverages, tax and gratuity). The summer dining program will take place Monday through Friday; Saturdays are excluded and Sundays are optional for participating restaurants.

“Summer in New York City is synonymous with NYC Restaurant Week,” said NYC & Company CEO George Fertitta. “Diners from all over the world look forward to New York City’s semiannual culinary celebration. Spanning notable restaurants, new eateries and numerous neighborhoods, it continues to grow year after year.”

Followers of @nycgo on Twitter will also be able to make online reservations for NYC Restaurant Week Summer 2010 before they open to the general public on June 29. Last winter, more than 270 restaurants took part—the largest NYC Restaurant Week to date. The complete list of participating eateries and their NYC Restaurant Week Summer 2010 menus will be available online at nycgo.com/restaurantweek when reservations open.
