NYC WINTER RESTAURANT WEEK 2008

City Businesses Prepare to Welcome Visitors and Couples with Special Offers and Promotions

New York, NY (December 20, 2007) NYC & Company today announced NYC Restaurant Week Winter 2008—two weeks of dining deals for New Yorkers and visitors. From January 21–January 25 and January 28–February 1, more than 220 restaurants will offer three-course prix-fixe lunches for $24.07 and three-course prix-fixe dinners for $35 (excluding beverage, tax and gratuity). Reservations can be made beginning Friday, December 21, at nycgo.com.

“Coming off the unprecedented success of Summer Restaurant Week, we’re excited to present the largest Winter Restaurant Week ever,” said NYC & Company CEO George Fertitta. “This year, we have a record 224 of New York City’s top restaurants offering great food at an exceptional value.”

Now in its 17th year, NYC Winter Restaurant Week 2008 brings together many of New York City’s top restaurants—A Voce, Chanterelle, davidburke & donatella, Del Posto, Mai House, The River Café, Union Square Café and Zoë Townhouse.

Notable newcomers this year include, among others, Aspen, Centro Vinoteca, Crema Restaurante, Fig & Olive Midtown, Greenhouse Cafe, Ilili Restaurant, Japonais, Kellari Seafood Taverna, maze by Gordon Ramsay, Oceana, Park Avenue Winter, Primehouse New York, Room With A View, Safran and TBar Steak & Lounge. This year, NYC Restaurant Week founding sponsor American Express has partnered with City Harvest to donate $.50 per transaction when diners pay with any American Express® Card at participating Restaurant Week locations, up to $25,000.
