SIGNATURE COLLECTION ANNOUNCES RETURN OF THIRD-NIGHT PROMOTION IN NEW YORK CITY
City's Luxury Hotels Collaborate to Invite Visitors to Stay an Extra Night
Los Angeles, California (March 27, 2007) – The Signature Collection, which comprises 16 luxury hotels of New York City, today announced the return of the Third Night promotion for summer 2007. The program, offered in partnership with American Express, gives visitors a complimentary reservation for a third night after paying the prevailing rate for the first two, from July 4 through September 3. The promotion was facilitated through NYC & Company, the City's tourism, marketing and events organization, which has worked closely with the hotels to encourage visitors to stay an extra night and experience all the city has to offer. The announcement was made today during a travel agent reception at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles.
"The Signature Collection's Third Night promotion has yielded considerable success for the participating hotels, and we are delighted to bring the offer back again this summer," said David Taylor, chairman of the Signature Collection, and the director of sales and marketing for The St. Regis New York.
The Signature Collection is a collection of 16 luxury hotels in New York City, including: The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel; Four Seasons Hotel New York; Jumeirah Essex House; Loews Regency Hotel; The London NYC; Mandarin Oriental, New York; New York Palace; The Peninsula New York; The Pierre New York; Hotel Plaza Athenee New York; The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park; The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park; The Sherry-Netherland Hotel; The St. Regis Hotel, New York; Trump International Hotel & Tower; and The Waldorf=Astoria. The program was initiated in 2001 through the efforts of NYC & Company.
