New in NYC

The New York Spring Spectacular Debuts at Radio City Music Hall
The Rockettes aren't just for Christmas anymore. They're providing the high-kicking energy for a brand-new extravaganza that combines the best in hi-tech entertainment and old-school musical theater magic. It's a springtime tale of three New Yorkers whose destinies intertwine, featuring Broadway and TV star Laura Benanti (Nashville) and a creative dream team of Tony winners, including director/choreographer Warren Carlyle and creative director Diane Paulus. The show runs for a limited engagement, from March 26 to May 15.

New at the Empire State Building Observatory
The Empire State Building Observatory has long been a New York City tourist favorite, but one question that consistently crops up for those looking to take the trip to the top is, "how long is the wait?" To address this issue, the attraction has introduced a new online tool that displays in real time how long it will take to travel through the Empire State Building Experience—which includes the Sustainability and Dare to Dream exhibitions—and arrive on the 86th floor Observation Deck. The site automatically updates every two minutes, and will be sure to help any visitor plan the perfect time to experience one of NYC's signature views: esbnyc.com

Itinerary Idea

Hush Hip Hop Tours
Born in the streets of the boogie-down Bronx in the 1970s, hip-hop has blossomed into a musical and cultural movement that's swept the world. Hush's tours present the history of hip-hop directly from the original masters who made it happen—including legendary figures like Grandmaster Caz, who wrote lyrics for "Rapper's Delight," and Kurtis Blow. Not only do the guides share their insider perspectives on key hip-hop locations and historic sites like the Apollo Theater and the Graffiti Wall of Fame, they school participants in how to rhyme and breakdance along the way. Hush offers customizes group and private tours.
