Overview
New York City inspires people to think bigger and do more. Our City agencies—the NYPD, FDNY, New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission and others—are known and celebrated around the world. New York City is an iconic brand like no other: it is instantly recognizable and always in style.
All of the revenue generated through the division’s work benefits New York City and is used toward programs that further support, protect and promote the five boroughs and agencies of the City of New York.*
What We Do
As the exclusive worldwide licensing agent for the City of New York, New York City Tourism + Conventions is your official source for developing licensed products that deliver the excitement, energy and dynamism of the City. New York City Tourism + Conventions supports our licensing program with extensive marketing. We reinforce our programs through a variety of assets, including outdoor media, online and mobile; exposure through an array of official NYC-related publications; a strategic global communications team to facilitate press and promotion; as well as an exceptional in-house creative team to assist with product development and collateral material design.
New York City Tourism + Conventions offers promotions on our official website, nyctourism.com, and exposure through other owned channels. Enforcement efforts include a coordinated on-product authentication program featuring uniquely sequenced hangtags and holographic decals, aggressive anti-counterfeit measures and a detailed style guide.
*A significant portion of the proceeds from the sale of licensed NYPD merchandise benefits the New York City Police Foundation, which strengthens the service of the NYPD and promotes public safety in New York City.
